Things I Love Thursday

Home Made Baby Wipes

I got this great idea several years ago from my friend Lesley. She used to give it as a baby shower gift! We've used it off and on over the years. It is a great $ saver and easy to do.

Here's how...

You'll need:
• a plastic container big enough to hold half of a paper towel roll
• a sharp serrated knife
• baby shampoo• baby oil
• water
• paper towels (Bounty Select-a-Size works great!)

Directions:

Cut the paper towel roll in half with the knife. I have heard of some husbands doing this job with an actual saw. I must admit, this is the most annoying part of the process for me. But if you could have your hubby cut a whole pack at once you'd be golden.

So saw it in half and then pull out the cardboard tubing.

Pour 2 1/4 cups of water into your container.
(I made a mark on my container so I don't have to measure each time.)

Then add 1 Tbsp baby oil and 2 Tbsp. baby shampoo to the water and stir.

(I also wrote the amounts on the bottom for easy reference.)

Stir the liquid and place the paper towel half in the container rough cut side down.

Let it soak up the liquid about half way.

Secure the lid.

Then flip it over.

When the liquid is completely absorbed you are ready for business.

Pull wipes from the center.

I don't even really seal the lid between uses and it stays moist.

Easy to use, cheap, and work great on little bums.

Give it a try!
