Soccer Adventure Potter Style

So we tried soccer.

There's a first time for everything.

The kids liked it well enough.

Not sure we'll make 1.0 do it next year.

But it's about the life experience, right?

___

The soccer stars before the first game

(at which it rained the whole time.)

Let's just say, soccer didn't make a good first impression.

Their biggest littlest fansZane loved to yell, "RUN! RUN! KICK IT!"

____

The best part was

Daddy was the coach!

Get this though...

The names of the kids on our team (in no particular order) were

Kate

Katie

Katelyn

Ellie

Ella

Evan

and Liam

Seriously, who put that roster together?! :)

We were an inexperienced team.

Never "won" a game.

They don't officially keep score in this league,

as it is all about learning.

But the kids know.

___

Kate scored one goal.

Albeit she used her hands to stop the ball before kicking it into the net.

___

They learned a lot.

___

The last game we did make THREE goals!

That was a good game.

____

Warm ups were the best part.

They played a cute little game before each game called Captain Numbers.
...

1 on the Run!

2 with the shoe

3 on the knee
4 on the floor
5 on the drive
6 do a trick
7 ball from heaven

____

Plus, they got snacks.

Probably 1.0's favorite part.

No, he claims that the fact soccer is over is his favorite part.

I think Kate will give it another go.

Below is my favorite picture ever.

Every game all the kids on our team put their balls in their shirts like this.

so funny.

and finally...
here's our super cool soccer video!

T-Ball

Liam tried his hand at T-ball this spring.

ALL the kids got to bat each inning.

I'm not sure if they even technically kept score.

It was all about learning so it wasn't a bore.

He had the cutest fans around.

Even if I had a hard time making them sit down.

Zane loved to yell, "Run! Run! Run!"

Can you tell Liam had so much fun?

Kate liked to cheer cheer cheer.

Which made Owie smile ear to ear.

Zaner and Grandpa in their hats.

When will it be our turn to bat?

I'm the proud mama of #8

And I think his daddy coach is pretty great.

My turn.

Ready.

Get set.

G0.

Everybody wins! What do ya know!

Three cheers for team green!

I think they had fun...

See what I mean?
